The Global Truth Campaign and Tour kicks off in the movement’s birthplace of New Haven, CT, on October 12, 13, and 14, 2018. Highlights of this powerful healing weekend will include:

  • An introduction to Emotional Emancipation (EE) Circles, a healing experience that has been described as “life-changing” and is resonating with Black people around the world.
  • Sharing emotional wellness skills to relieve racial stress and trauma — skills that can be taught to our children.
  • Exploring how the lies about Black people have affected us for centuries and how we can free ourselves from them once and for all.
  • The opportunity to join our global online community to continue the journey toward emotional emancipation and to help Black children Defy the Lie of Black Inferiority and Embrace the Truth of Black Humanity.

Our guide for the weekend’s events is the dynamic Dr. Cheryl Tawede Grills, the leader of CHN’s Global Emotional Emancipation Circles Training Team. In addition to being a Professor of Psychology and Associate Dean in the College of Liberal Arts at Loyola Marymount University, Dr. Grills is a clinical psychologist who focuses on community psychology. She is also a Past President of the Association of Black Psychologists, CHN’s primary ally.

In August 2019, we’ll stop in Richmond, VA, during observances of the 400th anniversary of the first recorded forced arrival of Africans in the United States. In Virginia, CHN and ABPsi will issue a call to the African Union and the African Diaspora to put the matter of emotional emancipation – complete freedom from the lies – at the top of the global African agenda.

People outside of the tour cities can join the Global Truth Campaign and Tour by taking the pledge to Defy the Lie. Embrace the Truth . To invest in the Truth Tour and the global grassroots movement for the emotional emancipation of Black people, make a donation.
